Pretending theme on A Mixed Bag with Chris B on 93.7 Edge FM in the Bega Valley

Last night on A Mixed Bag with Chris B, our theme was "pretending".  We played lots of songs with the word Pretend, Pretending or Pretender in the title and finished off with some tracks from The Pretenders.

There was no theme-related interview last night, but we did touch on the topic of problem gambling and how people who suffer from a gambling addiction often pretend to lead one life, when the reality is, they are leading an altogether different life, perhaps spending all their time and money at the local club feeding poker machines.

After last week's "Rivers" theme and the interview with Vickie Goldsmith from the Bega River and Wetlands Landcare Group, I have been making good use of the Bega River walking track, and look forward to seeing future projects.  Check out the last post on this blog to hear the interview.
This month is Australian music month, and it was great to watch Countdown: Do yourself a favour on ABC TV on Sunday night.  You may remember our interview with Ian Battersby who worked as a sound mixer in the early days of Countdown shared some of his memories with us.  If you'd like to hear that interview again, click on the link below.
