Yellow theme

Had a great time on Friday night at Club Sapphire, Merimbula, where the Swamp Stompers entertained a very enthusiastic crowd, playing a mix of blues, funk and rock.  Their latest album, Stepping Stones, is great.  Thanks to Corey Legge from the Swamp Stompers for his interview last week live on A Mixed Bag with Chris B.

As I write this blog I'm listening to "Can-Do Radio".  We had the very talented Andrew Hewitt (Australia's most inspirational drummer) speaking with us on  A Mixed Bag with Chris B a couple of weeks ago, and he told us of his Can-Do Musos radio program.  If you'd like to listen to the Can-Do Radio episode I'm listening to right now, click on the link to hear some fantastic musicians playing music their way.  It's great stuff.

Tomorrow night, Tuesday 16 December 2014, local musician and music producer, Pol O'Shea is coming in to tell us about a great album called "Caressed by mountains" by Yellow Box.  I'm looking forward to spinning a few tunes from the album as the musos listed on the album all seem to have a local connection with the Bega Valley.
Our theme will be "Yellow". So, if you live in the Bega Valley, tune in between 6.00 pm and 8.00 pm tomorrow (Tuesday night)

COREY LEGGE from the Swamp Stompers

Last night on A Mixed Bag with Chris B on 93.7 Edge FM, we had a very special guest in the studio, Corey Legge.  Corey is a member of the Swamp Stompers with fellow band mates Luke Ligtenberg and Mitch Broadhead.  The Swamp Stompers play dirty slide guitar rock and blues with heavy grooves, and they will be launching their new EP, Stepping Stones this Friday night at Club Sapphire, Merimbula, so be there or be square!  Doors open at 8.00 pm and the gig is absolutely free!

Corey was kind enough to come into the Edge FM studios for a chat, and to play a couple of the new songs unplugged.  It's been great for the Bega Valley community to have watched Corey's talent develop over the years, from his early days with TNT, to his solo efforts and now with the wonderful Swamp Stompers.

You can listen to Corey Legge chatting to us about what is happening with the Swamp Stompers, and to hear two "unplugged" versions of the Swamp Stomper songs by clicking on the link below:-
