Songs of celebration

Tonight on A Mixed Bag with Chris B, we played lots of feel good, party, celebration style songs.
We didn't take ourselves too seriously on the show tonight, just played lots of music.
The reason our show was about celebrating tonight is because this Saturday, 30th August, 93.7 Edge FM will celebrate 20 years of continuous broadcasting with a free barbeque and Open Day, at the Old Bega Hospital, South Bega, so if you live in the Bega Valley, come and join the fun.

Tonight's playlist included:-

  • Celebration - Kool and the gang
  • Having a party - Sam Cooke
  • Happy Birthday - Stevie Wonder
  • Celebration - Mika
  • Happy - Pharrel Williams
  • Teardrops - Womack & Womack
  • It's my party - Leslie Gore
  • 1999 - Prince
  • Forever Young - Bob Dylan
  • Forever Young - Youth Group
  • Celebrate - Christine Anu
  • Good times - Easybeats
  • Boppin' the blues - Blackfeather
  • Let's get this party started - Pink
  • Fight for your right to party - Beastie Boys
  • I had the time of my life - Bill Medley and Jennifer Warne (from Dirty Dancing soundtrack)
  • A few songs from a record called The Great Rock Revival - Lion sleeps tonight, Rhythm of the rain and Save the last dance for me
  • Don't worry, be happy - Bobby McFarren
  • I will survive - Gloria Gaynor
Next week, our theme will deal with a much more serious issue, the drug "Ice", so tune into 93.7 Edge FM if you live in the Bega Valley, between 6.00 pm and 8.00 pm next Tuesday evening.
